BU 697 - Graduate Internship

The course is the final class in the graduate experience. The student will participate in a minimum of 135 hours of “on-the-job” experience under direction of a work-site supervisor in an approved organization agreeing to sponsor the internship. This experience may be scheduled on a 19-20 hours per week basis in a seven week term or on a 9 hours per week basis within a fifteen week semester. The experience must be outside of the student’s current scope of work and the deliverables clearly demonstrate leadership and the acquisition of new knowledge and skills. The student and work-site supervisor will determine the scope of work and deliverables needed to demonstrate all graduate program core student learning outcomes. Evaluations of the level of proficiency demonstrated by the intern will be completed by both the faculty member and the work-site supervisor from the sponsoring organization. 3.00 semester credit hours Contact Hours: 45.00 Prerequisite: Final semester.
