DH 425 - Teaching and Theories of Learning

This course examines educational theories, methodology, assessment, and competency-based education in dental hygiene. Specific topics include didactic instructional methodologies, clinical instructional methodologies, lesson planning, and formative and summative evaluation. 3.00 semester credit hours Contact Hours: 45.00 Prerequisites: DH 326 Dental Materials, DH 399C Dental Hygiene Clinical Practice II, DH 402 Periodontology II, and DH 410 Diverse Needs in Patient Populations.
