SC 165 - General Microbiology

This course provides an introduction to the study of microorganisms. It covers normal flora and pathogenic microbes. Select topics include function, metabolism, genetics, growth, and relationships to humans and the environment. Topics related to human infectious diseases may include transmission, host defense mechanisms, growth processes, and the spread of infectious agents. 2.00 semester credit hours Contact Hours: 30.00 Prerequisite: None.
