NM 424 - Gerontological Nursing This course provides an opportunity to explore healthcare needs and issues in gerontological nursing. Healthy aging processes and the risk factors that affect the health and functioning of older adults will be explored as well as nursing approaches to managing those needs and risks. Ethical, legal, and economic issues will be addressed. 3.00 semester credit hours Contact Hours: 60.0 Prerequisites: EN 116 Speech , NM 341 Family Nursing I , and NM 346 Family Nursing II .
Corequisite: NM 352 Public Health Nursing , HU 101 Critical Thinking , SC 150 Principles of Nutrition .
