EM 196 - Cardiovascular Electrophysiology This course introduces the cardiovascular system, cardiovascular electrophysiology, and electrocardiograph monitoring. Content areas include cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, cardiovascular electrophysiology, electrocardiograph monitoring, rhythm analysis, and pre-hospital 12-lead electrocardiogram monitoring and interpretation. Upon course completion, students will have demonstrated competency in those respective components of the National Standard Curriculum for the EMT-Paramedic. 3.00 semester credit hours Contact Hours: 45.00 Prerequisites: EM 192 Paramedic Operations , EM 194 Paramedic General Pharmacology and EM 195 Advanced Trauma Management . Corequisite: None.
