EM 191 - Paramedic Preparation


This course introduces issues related to the practice of pre-hospital advanced life support as a career with a focus on issues common to all healthcare professions. Content areas include paramedic roles and responsibilities, well-being of the paramedic, illness and injury prevention, medical-legal-ethical issues, therapeutic communications, and medical terminology. Upon completion, students will have demonstrated competency in those respective components of the National Standard Curriculum for the EMT Paramedic.
