PC 101 - Nursing Assistant


This course is designed to prepare students for employment as nursing assistants in long term, acute, and other healthcare facilities. The content focuses on interpersonal skills, overview of the human body, medical terminology, legal and ethical responsibilities, safe and efficient work, restorative care principles, geriatrics, nutrition, pet-facilitated therapy, and health and safety, including CPR and employability skills. Instruction is provided through classroom, laboratory, and clinical experiences. Upon completion of the course, the student is eligible to sit for the Certified Nursing Assistant exam.
