IS 481 - IT Strategic Management


This course provides a comprehensive guide to information technology strategic management with a focus on the essential components found in an information technology (IT) strategic plan. Topics include the role of an IT manager, IT as a strategic issue, the IT/business strategy relationship, determining a high-level direction for IT, IT strategy gap analysis, option analysis and action plans, IT problem, change, and recovery management strategies, emerging technology evaluation strategies, managing IT functions and resources, and trends affecting IT strategic management.
