NF 310 - Nursing Pathophysiology


This course focuses on alterations of selected physiological functions that occur in response to a disease process or compensate for common stressors like inflammation or pain. The content builds upon previous understanding of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, basic chemistry, and the usual manifestations of common diseases. Alterations in pathophysiological functions of cells and the interrelationships of body systems are explored. Physiological theory and treatment are discussed using case situations and discussion questions that exemplify the content.
