NM 410 - Ethics in Nursing


This course is designed to introduce nursing students to ethical theory and practice with a view to enhancing both their understanding of value issues in healthcare and their future practice as healthcare professionals. Given their unique role in healthcare, nurses have special ethical responsibilities. Emphasis is placed on the development of a personal values system that includes the capacity to make and act upon ethical judgments and the ability to apply decision making in nursing practice.
