Program Description 

The Diploma in General Studies – Pre-Nursing program is a pathway into Herzing University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. This program offers students foundational knowledge to prepare for a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Interaction in courses within the general studies program, promotes critical thinking and problem solving through various course offerings.

Program Objectives

Upon completion of this program, the student should be able to:

  1. Identify personal, academic, and professional/career goals
  2. Integrate principles of critical thinking through knowledge application
  3. Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills
  4. Analyze the science behind maintaining body homeostasis

Program Content

A minimum of 24.00 semester credit hours is required for graduation.
