Changes to Undergraduate Policies and Governance
Academic Information
- Approved Break Status - language changed
- Grade Appeal Procedure - appeals now to be sumitted to the program or department chair
- Withdrawing from an individual course - If the request to withdraw is before the 75% point (changed from the halfway point) of the course, the grade assigned will be a “W.” If after the 75% point, a letter grade will be assigned.
Accreditation Information
Birmingham:
- Diploma in Practical Nursing: The Diploma in Practical Nursing program at the Birmingham location is approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Effective August 16, 2021, this nursing program is a candidate for initial accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
- Associate of Science in Nursing: The Associate of Science in Nursing and Associate of Science in Nursing LPN-RN Bridge programs at the Birmingham location are approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Effective August 16, 2021, this nursing program is a candidate for initial accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
Brookfield:
- Diploma in Practical Nursing: The Diploma in Practical Nursing program at the Brookfield location is approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing

Tampa
- Associate of Science in Nursing: The Associate of Science in Nursing program at the Tampa location has an accredited status with the Florida Board of Nursing
- The Associate of Science in Nursing program at Herzing University located in Orlando, Florida is accredited by the: Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Herzing University Tampa is included within the scope of this accreditation as an off-campus instructional site.
