RT 112 - Principles of Radiography I


This course is the study of the physics behind the production of radiation. Also covered is the study of physical forces involved in the production of quality images, which includes prime and geometric factors, quality factors, and the practical manipulation of exposure techniques, filtration, attenuation, as well as the use of grids, receptors systems, and automatic exposure control. 3.00 semester credit hours Contact Hours: 45.00 Prerequisites: MA 107 College Algebra , RT 102 Introduction to Radiography , and RT 107 Methods of Patient Care . Corequisite: None.
