NU 474 - Community Health Nursing


This course focuses on the roles of community and public health nursing as they pertain to promotion of a healthy community. Students will be guided to think critically about the role and core competencies of community health nursing in promoting health, preventing disease, and restoring health. Emphasis is placed on the examination of concepts, theories, and practice from nursing and public health to assess and respond to the health status and needs of diverse communities.
