NU 451 - Nursing Leadership and Management


This course will explore leadership, management, and organizational theories necessary to provide effective delivery of nursing care to a diverse population in varied clinical settings. Techniques used by successful managers will be reviewed as will information on outcomes evaluation, quality improvement activities, and cost-wise decision making. The student will complete a self-evaluation of their leadership skills and finalize their employment portfolio. Semester Credit Hours: 3.00 Contact Hours: 45/0/0/45 Prerequisites: None.
