NP 101 - Foundations of Nursing This course introduces beginning nursing students to essential concepts such as academic success strategies, medical terminology, human growth and development, and basic pharmacology principles. Students will develop skills in dosage calculations and safe medication administration. Emphasis is placed on understanding developmental considerations across the lifespan to support competent, patient-centered care. Semester Credit Hours: 4.00 Contact Hours: 45/30/0/75 Prerequisites: None. Corequisites: EN 104 English Composition I , NP 121 Fundamentals of Practical Nursing , SC 144 Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology .
