Master of Science in Healthcare Administration

Program Description

The Master of Science in Healthcare Administration is a program that prepares individuals to develop, plan, and manage healthcare operations and services within healthcare facilities and across healthcare systems. Includes instruction in planning, business management, financial management, public relations, human resources management, healthcare systems operation and management, healthcare resource allocation and policy making, health law and regulations, and applications to specific types of healthcare services.

Program Objectives

Upon completion of their program, the student should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate strategic leadership and management skills that promote quality improvement and sustainability in healthcare settings.
  2. Analyze ethical and legal practices for healthcare regulatory compliance.
  3. Design innovative business development solutions using project management and collaborative skills.
  4. Apply methods of financial analysis and fiscal management skills for healthcare organizations.
  5. Create healthcare organizational cultural and care delivery models that incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Potential Occupational Titles

Potential occupational titles for this program include, but are not limited to, Clinical Director, Health Information Management Corporate Director, Health Information Management Director, Health Manager, Mental Health Program Manager.

Program Content

A minimum of 30.00 semester credit hours is required for graduation. 

  • A minimum of 33.00 semester credit hours is required for students who do not have an undergraduate degree in Business, a closely related discipline or its international equivalent.
