Program Description
Cybersecurity is being impacted by technological advancements at both the attack and defense ends, especially due to the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI). The Post Master’s Certificate in Cybersecurity program is meticulously designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills that align with the latest developments in the cybersecurity landscape, with a particular emphasis on the integration of AI technologies. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical applications, students are equipped with the skills to effectively utilize AI technologies for enhanced network security, proactive threat detection, efficient incident response, and robust risk management. They engage in hands-on exercises and real-world simulations that allow them to apply their knowledge and skills to AI-driven ethical cybersecurity scenarios, preparing them to tackle the complex challenges faced by organizations today.
Coursework in this program provides a foundation for select industry certifications. These certifications enhance employment opportunities but are not a state specific requirement.
Program Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, the student should be able to:
- Analyze complex cybersecurity challenges to protect digital assets.
- Develop innovative strategies to protect networks against cybersecurity attacks.
- Analyze digital evidence in forensics investigations.
- Evaluate ethical hacking techniques for identifying vulnerabilities in connected devices.
- Create comprehensive incident response plans to mitigate the impact of cyber incidents.
- Lead cybersecurity operations including communicating with diverse stakeholders to maintain alignment of security strategies.
- Develop advanced artificial intelligence and deep learning (AI/DL) approaches for cybersecurity to identify and mitigate security risks.
