Program Description
The Associate of Science in Health and Human Services program prepares students to uniquely approach the objective of meeting human needs through an interdisciplinary knowledge base, focusing on prevention, intervention, theory, and maintenance in practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities. This online program provides a foundational understanding of entry-level work tools and skills for students to focus on providing coordination of services case management, and advocacy, within public and private health and human services agencies and organizations. Upon completion of this degree, students are eligible to continue into the Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Services.
Program Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, the student should be able to:
- Understand the history and current human services delivery.
- Apply knowledge and theory to multiple levels of human systems.
- Demonstrate understanding and integration of models to populations served.
- Exhibit how to apply policy to practice.
- Build skills in information management.
- Adopt ethical and legal standards found in human services.
- Engage in genuine interpersonal skills.
Program Content
