NM 341 - Family Nursing I


This course focuses on nursing care as it relates to the function and structure of the childbearing family, including the specific experiences of pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and the care of newborns. It explores the nurse’s role in promoting and maintaining family health. Specific content includes reproductive and sexual health, psychological and physiologic changes of pregnancy, prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum, and the care of the newborn.
