DH 226L - Dental Hygiene Materials Lab


This course consists of laboratory experiences studied in DH 226 Dental Hygiene Materials and provides the skills necessary for commonly used dental materials and equipment utilized by the dental hygienist to ensure quality patient care. Laboratory exercises include, but are not limited to, application of pit and fissure sealants, polishing amalgams, impressions, pouring and trimming study models, and custom tray fabrication. 1.00 semester credit hour Contact Hours: 30.00 Prerequisites: DH 122 General and Oral Pathology , DH 130 Pharmacology for the Dental Hygienist, DH 135 Periodontology, DH 140 Dental Hygiene Seminar II, DH 140L Dental Hygiene Seminar II Lab, and DH 143C Dental Hygiene Clinical Practice I. Corequisite: DH 226 Dental Hygiene Materials.
