NU 665 - Advanced Practice Specialty Procedures and Skills for Acute Care
The focus of this course is introducing and exploring the technical and procedural skills including clinical decision-making, indications, contraindications, complications and management of complications related to advanced practice, adult gerontology care nursing specialty skills. Application of course concepts will be accomplished through simulation exercises structured for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for management of the acute and/or chronically ill patient. The clinical experience is in the direct patient care setting with an emphasis on acute care.
