Academic Information
Accreditation Information
- Added full approval for Atlanta Campus Board of Nursing
- New Orleans Bachelor of Science in Nursing -revised CCNE Statement :
Bachelor of Science in Nursing: The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the New Orleans location has initial approval by the Louisiana State Nursing Board (17373 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70810; 225-755-7500). Consequently, graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCLEX-RN) licensing exam upon successful completion of the program. Passing this exam allows graduates to apply to the State Board of Nursing for licensure as a registered nurse.
The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Herzing University New Orleans is pursuing initial accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (www.aacn.nche.edu/ccneaccreditation). Applying for accreditation does not guarantee that accreditation will be granted.

Admission Information
- Added the following to the Associate in Science / Associate of Applied Science in General Studies Pre-Nursing admissions requirements:
Students who have successfully completed 24 semester credits in the AS/AAS GSN may be considered for acceptance into the prelicensure ASN/AASN or BSN program by satisfying the following alternative pathway requirements:
Completion of Anatomy & Physiology I and II with a B or better Minimum cumulative GPA (CGPA) based on earned coursework taken in the AS/AAS GSN program. The minimum CGPA is based on original entrance TEAS and GPA:
- AS/AASGSN CGPA of 2.5+ for student with entrance TEAS 58+ and entrance GPA 2.25-2.49
- AS/AASGSN CGPA of 2.75+ for student with entrance TEAS 52-57 and entrance GPA 2.50+
- AS/AASGSN CGPA of 3.0 for student with entrance TEAS 52-57 and entrance GPA 2.25-2.49
- Diploma in General Studies (Marquette Horizons @ Herzing)
- Must have an ACT score of 18 or better OR an SAT score of 960 (1275 if taken prior to 2016).

- Added the following paragraph to the Federal Return Policy in Financial Information :
If a credit remains on a student account after all applicable refund calculations and required adjustments are completed, Herzing University will return additional loan funds, if available, to the lender to clear the credit. Students can opt out of this policy and receive credits resulting from excess loan funding paid to them directly by contacting their campus financial aid department.
