IS 324 - Introduction to Android Mobile Development


The goal of this course is to introduce the student to the design and development of mobile software utilizing the Android Operating System and an appropriate Android Java SDK. The setup and configuration of such an environment will be demonstrated and employed. The development tools will be mastered through building an Android application, managing application resources, configuring the manifest file, designing an application framework, implementing a main menu, building forms to collect user input, creating dialogs, and adding application logic that stores state information. Semester Credit Hours 4.00 semester credit hours Contact Hours: 60.00 Prerequisite: IS 165 Programming in Java I  or IS 223 Object-Oriented Programming 2 . Corequisite: None.
