EM 116 - EMT Basic Theory and Lab This course introduces theory and techniques of basic emergency medical care in the pre-hospital setting and pathophysiological principles related to the recognition and management of a variety of patient conditions. Students will interpret signs and symptoms to develop a treatment management plan related to the patient’s condition. The course will certify each student in basic life support for cardiac emergencies. Semester Credit Hours: 9.00 Contact Hours: 120/30/0/150 Prerequisite: None.
