ST 135 - O.R. Theory and Fundamentals


This interactive multimedia course is an introduction to a variety of specialized equipment commonly used in the operating room and how working knowledge of these items tie directly to the roles and responsibilities of the Surgical Technologist. The course explores surgical site prepping, wound healing, dressings, drains, and sutures commonly used in surgical procedures. The course is designed to enhance and integrate the information learned here, with the hands-on practice experienced in the operating room skills lab sequence.
