BU 247 - Advertising and Public Relations This course encompasses advertising and public relations techniques and concepts. Students will explore the role of advertising, with a focus on the structure, environment, and strategy of advertising, and the role of public relations, with a focus on profit and nonprofit public relations programs. Topics include the advertising environment, ethical issues and social responsibility, advertising background, planning, and strategy, advertising media, copywriting, design and production, and public relations and promotions.
