CJ 360 - Victimology This course is designed to introduce students to the study of victims and the relationship these victims have with offenders in the criminal justice system. In this course students will evaluate crime victims and focus on the physical, emotional, and financial harm victims suffer due to crime. Students will examine victim-offender relationships, the interactions between victims and the criminal justice system, and identify national, state and local resources for crime victims. The course analyzes the challenges victims face and how the criminal justice system deals with the offender-victim relationship. Students will critically evaluate the development of victim rights in the United States and examine the impacts of specific crimes on victims.
