BU 382 - International Economics and Business Management The first part of this course focuses on the theory of domestic and international banking and the evaluation of monetary values. Students will examine growth of international trade and capital flows, evaluate the foreign exchange market, and predict the risks involved in the foreign exchange market. Topics covered include investment capital, balance of payments, exchange rates, and mergers and acquisitions. The second part of this course offers a comparative analysis of business practices in the global economy with emphasis on international economic factors and institutions. Topics include the national environments of international business, the role of culture, trade and exchange rates, financial issues, marketing strategies and business development, international management, and the impact of government policies. 6.00 semester credit hours Contact Hours: 90.00 Prerequisites/Corequisites: None.
