Program Description

The Diploma in Health and Human Services is a preparatory program that provides students with an introduction to practical methods to define and compare concepts to address human needs in addition to presenting interdisciplinary processes, describing prevention approaches, recognizing intervention methods, initial theories, and maintenance in practice with individuals and communities. This online program provides a fundamental understanding of work tools and skills for students to focus on providing coordination of services case management within public and private health and human services agencies and organizations. Upon completion of this diploma program, students are eligible to continue into the Associate of Science in Health and Human Services.  

Program Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, the student should be able to:

  1. Understand the history and current human services delivery. 
  2. Apply knowledge and theory to multiple levels of human systems. 
  3. Demonstrate understanding and integration of models to populations served. 
  4. Adopt ethical and legal standards found in human services. 

Program Content

A minimum of 24.00 semester credit hours is required for graduation.
